I had an experience I can't prove, I can't even explain it, but everything that I know as a human being, everything that I am telling me is that it was real. I was part of something wonderful, something that changed me forever; a vision of the Universe that tells us undeniable how tiny, and insignificant, and how rare and precious we all are. A vision that tells us we belong to something that is greater than ourselves. That we are not, that none of us are alone. I wish I could share that. I wish that everyone, if even for one moment, could feel that awe, and humility, and the hope, but... that continues to be my wish. ======================================================================== 옛날 영화인데, 지난 주 TV에서 방영해서 보게 된 영화<컨택트>에서 나온 대사야. 조디포스터 나온 영화인데... 알려나. 다른 사람들은 다른 대사를 명대사로 이야기 하는데 ex. If it is just us, it seems like an awful waste of space. 이것도 명대사이지만, 나는 저 위에 써 놓은 대사(천문학자인 여자주인공이 웜홀을 통과해 우주여행을 하고 왔지만 아무도 믿어주지 않을 때 청문회에서 한 말)가 자꾸 뇌리에서 잊혀지지가 않아. 근데... 네 마지막 말을 들으니, 저 대사가 도움이 될 거 같은데...특히 "a vision of the Universe that tells us undeniable how tiny, and insignificant, and how rare and precious we all are.
